After many years in the clothing industry, alongside house renovations and gardening, it became clear that workwear for women often lacked both fit and function. Somewhere along the way, Operose was founded in 2013, with the aim of creating work trousers that work not only in theory, but in practice too. The goal was, and still is, a pair of trousers that allows room for hips, freedom of movement and space for tools, while leaving as small an impact on the environment and the planet’s resources as possible.
Since then, Operose has developed together with the people who wear the clothes. We rely on our test panels, customer feedback and conversations in real working environments to adjust fit, details and materials. A continuous product development with small, ongoing changes that make a big difference in everyday use.
Our workwear is used by both private individuals and professionals. On building sites, in gardens, workshops and studios, across many professions where clothing needs to perform all day long. It’s not about perfect garments, but about well-considered solutions that improve over time, together with the people who use them.
Operose is work created together. Experiences are shared, feedback is received with gratitude, and the clothes are shaped by those who wear them.
