Food from the garden all year round!

In the Skillnadens Trädgård (translation: The Garden of Difference) , 150 different kinds of vegetables grow. Some give harvest in spring and summer, others autumn and winter. Every day, all year round, food can be picked up in the organic garden pantry. In recent years, Sara's family's cooking has changed fundamentally. The harvest decides what food is cooked today. A creative journey of discovery among home-grown ingredients has taken cooking to new levels. Because it is when a mountain of freshly harvested spinach lies in large baskets and just waits to be cooked that everyday food really becomes a fun-filled challenge.

In the book Skillnadens Trädgård, we got to know Sara Bäckmo as a passionate gardener who curiously and headstrongly revolutionized our view of the kitchen garden, sometimes by doing the exact opposite of accepted cultivation rules. In Skillnadens Skörd, we get to accompany Sara into the kitchen to see how freshly harvested ingredients are taken care of, stored and turned into food for the whole family. The book is full of favorite recipes for easy-to-prepare everyday food full of vegetables, all year round.

Sara Bäckmo is a journalist who cultivates and writes about the Skillnadens Trädgård in the Nordic region's largest garden blog (www.sarabackmo.se). She also produces the podcast Skillnadens Trädgård by Sara and lectures extensively on vegetable growing.

Maria Fors Östberg shares Sara's garden passion and has been following the work in Skillnadens Trädgård with the camera for several years. She works as a freelance photographer and writer.
